ACT! on your iPhone & iPad in 2011

We know many people are paitiently waiting for this product to be released and we are very very very excited about helping you get a HIGH Quality iPhone App that Syncs with your ACT! database with no monthly fees.

So here is an update! We have 80% of the iPhone app written, and it will work with iPad as a iPad app, not an iPhone app running on an iPad. iPad coding is expected to complete once the new iPad is released in February 2011.

Sadly we are waiting on new framework from Microsoft to be release, they say "First half of 2011", This is the biggest hold up at this point.

We plan on posting web videos of the new product in January 2011 to prove all of those in doubt that this product is finaly coming to market.

iPhone OS 4 & ACT! for the iPhone

Many of you have heard that Apple has announced the new iPhone OS & SDK Version 4.0. We have reviewed the new SDK and we feel that there are changes in the SDK that would make ACT! on the iPhone or iPad a better experience for ACT! users. We feel this is the right move to deliver the expected experience to users. We cannot go into detail what these new sdk features are and how they will enhance the experience as we are under Apple's Developer NDA. Our target delivery date will be shortly after the iPhone OS & SDK 4.0 is released to the public. Apple expects to release to the public some time this summer.

We hope you understand and look forward to getting the product in your hands.

Thanks

Jeremy Wesley

UPDATE: ACT! for the iPhone

To everyone who is desperately waiting for ACT! for the iPhone, I must apologize for the delay.  When we decided to do this we felt this would be a fun project to work on and a great learning experience. As more market research came in from people interested in the product, the more we realized that we had to have a hit on our hands from the start. We really wanted to deliver a high quality iPhone app, not just ACT! for the iPhone. So we decided to put the project on temporarily hold and work on a similar CRM type product for the iPhone. This would allow us to learn all the ins and outs of iPhone development and the strict Apples application approval process. We have been focusing on this similar product and its almost ready for the AppStore. Its going to beta users in a few weeks and after that we will be switching gears over to the ACT! for the iPhone product. Due to the nature of our first iPhone application, we will be able to reuse some of the code we have invested. If all goes well we hope to submit our ACT! for the iPhone application to the Apple AppStore before the end of the second quarter.

Thanks for your continued patience
